Cevapi

Cevapi are the Bosnian equivalent of the Australian meat pie. It is common amnd can be purchase anywhere. They are made from beef mince sausages in between two pieces of bread. They are usually served in groups of five or 10 pieces of meat on a plate often with chopped onions, sour cream or tomatoes on the side.

Ingredients
1 kg beef mince
200 ml sparkly mineral water(plain water will work too)
2tsp baking soda
pepper
salt

Method:

  1. Combine 200ml sparkly mineral water with 2tsp baking soda, salt and pepper
  2. Mix everything together with beef mince(mix it with mixer)
  3. Put the mixture in the fridge minimum for 1 hour
  4. Take the meat out of the fridge and make sausages shape
  5. Cook it on the stove or use your bbq it will taste much better

The cevapi are favourite and you can't come to Bosnia without trying it.
